This little post has been in the works for a few weeks, but I figured today was as good as any to post it. As summer approaches each year, I begin to make plans for the kids and I. I have a running list of "field trips" I want to take them on and routines I want to establish and creations I want to craft. This is just a small sample of some of the things I've found in Blog Land that have made it to my Summer To-Do List. I suppose I'll be sharing more of that list in the days and weeks to come. But for now, check out some of these fantastic links!

Natural Kids shows how you can turn your backyard into a nature walk, complete with botanical markers.

Hillbilly Jillies shows how to make a wormery (a.k.a. worm farm).
Curly Birds shows how you can create words using finds from a nature walk. I'm thinking self-portraits, too.

I love this take on the traditional blanket fort. We'll be building these daily!
(um, just go on over to Maya Made and take a look at her Make page. That is one clever mama!)
We will totally be making our own hula hoops! Did you know you could do that? Me neither!
Alright, girlfriends, I'll see you back here tomorrow for Paint With Me!

Such FUN stuff today. I am glad you are peeking out a *bit* I didn't even comment yesterday... I was a bit scared! :D j/k
We always have a running list of things we want to do every summer and feel fortunate to get to HALF of it... sigh....
Summer goes so darn fast, doesn't it?
Fun stuff! I had a semi panic attack yesterday, when I realized there is only a few more days left in May! I love summer and it always flies by. I need to start making some plans.
Oh My!!! I heart that blanket fort....and the rock marker. Great ideas!
i love all those ideas. i'm trying to get my act together to do a linky party so we can all share our summer inspirations and stories. would you be in?
wow, you have more ambition that me, but that isn't surprising ;-) congrats to camden on the tooth, btw. cutie!
Hey Heather,
I can relate to how you are feeling. I've been laying low for about a week it seems...sigh.
Love your lovely finds, I want to build that little fort and climb inside with my book.
See you tomorrow!
What great projects! Have I told you that I LOVE your project link on the right? I think I'm going to do the same thing. I always see the coolest things I want to do and then forget where I saw them or where to get back to them. I am counting down the days till summer vacation when I can do all this stuff!!!
